ScottishPower announces that, at the Annual Meeting of PacifiCorp shareholders held yesterday in Salt Lake City, PacifiCorp shareholders approved the terms of the merger with ScottishPower.  Approximately 70% of shareholders voted in favour of the resolution to approve the merger, representing 87% of the total votes cast.  This follows the approval of the merger by ScottishPower shareholders on 15 June.

"The approval by both sets of shareholders marks an important step in consummating our merger with PacifiCorp and we are delighted with the level of support given by both ScottishPower and PacifiCorp shareholders.  We continue to make good progress with the various regulatory bodies in the US and remain on track to complete the merger later this year."
