ScottishPower is pleased to announce the appointment of Keith Cochrane, former Chief Executive and Finance Director of Stagecoach, to the new post of Director, Group Financial Reporting. He will report directly to Finance Director David Nish.

Mr Cochrane's responsibilities will include ScottishPower's external reporting cycle for full year and quarterly group accounts, ensuring full compliance with UK and US accountancy principles (GAAP), developing the group's financial policies, and implementing International Accounting Standards (IAS) throughout the group.

A first class honours graduate in Accountancy from Glasgow University, Mr Cochrane, 38, worked for Arthur Andersen before joining Stagecoach in 1993. He will take up his new post on 2 June.
